Hello, I began my journey in the Littleton Public Schools when my first son began kindergarten. He is now in his last year at CU in Boulder and I have one last one coming through the district as well. He attends Littleton High School. My middle son is in Ft.Collins working on his second year of college. I believe your children are getting the best education possible.
Many years ago I recieved my Bachelors Degree in Speech and Language Pathology. I am married and have three sons. I stayed home and did in-home day care for 12 years while my children were little. I returned to school and recieved my teacher's certification and Masters Degree from UCD with an emphasis on literacy. While I have been teaching I have taken classes and received an endorsement in English as a Second Language education. I have been teaching at East for ten years; seven years teaching first grade and three years teaching second.

I look forward to an exciting year in first grade. Some great activites that you and your child can do together that will help your child's year in school are:
1. go to many of the great museums,
2. go to the Zoo, musical performances,
3. see movies together and then discuss them,
4. read books together and talk about them,
5. cook together,
6. take walks and do chores...reading and talking about everything you see.
Reading, writing and math are everywhere in our daily lives... the possibilities are endless
