Writing 
In writing we are discovering what it means to be a writer and we are exploring ideas to write about.

Guided Reading
We are pleased with the progress our first grade readers are making. Currently, students are participating in shared reading, independent reading, and guided reading.

Social Studies/Science
We are learning about Native American Regions.

Math
We have continue to work in our Everyday Math book. We have begun fact practice and are working on learning addition and subtraction facts through 10.

Monday Folders 
Please remember to look for the red Monday Folder each week, and return it to school the following day. Important school information is sent home in this folder as well as Monday Math homework, which is due each Tuesday.

Winteris here. Please keep in mind that in Colorado, the weather is always changing! Dress your children in layers. We try to go out every day!
