I recently got married in November 2007! I have changed my name from Ms. Frankovich to Mrs. Tippets now.
This is my seventh year at East Elementary. I have taught kindergarten for the past five years and I enjoy this age group very much! I grew up in Seattle and attended Brigham Young University in Utah where I received my BS in Elementary Education with an Early Childhood emphasis. I continued my education at Arapahoe Community College where I have studied Spanish among other subjects. I enjoy being outside and love the beauty that Colorado offers!
I believe that the classroom is a safe environment physically, emotionally and academically. It is a place for all children to learn based on their academic level. As a kindergarten team, we provide our students with small group instruction during much of our day. Our children grow substantially in so many areas as a result of our full day program and small teacher to student ratio throughout the building. I believe in a well structured classroom with high expectations for both academics and behavior.
I look forward to meeting with all the parents of my students. I believe that communication between the teacher and parents is vital in a child's progress and success as a student. I am open to all parents' questions and concerns and am easily reached before or after school in person or by email. I love being a teacher and look forward to meeting you and your family as we take this journey together.
