Hello, my name is Ryan Olson and I am the Physical Education teacher here at East Elementary.

 I grew up in the Brainerd/Baxter area in Minnesota and graduated from Brainerd Senior High School in 1996. I attended Itasca Jr. College in Grand Rapids, MN where I played hockey for two years and received my AA Degree from Central Lakes Community College in Brainerd. I graduated from the University of Minnesota Moorhead in Moorhead, MN in the spring of 2002 where I majored in Physical Education and participated in Adaptive Physical Education. I also just finish my Masters degree at the University of Northern Colorado in Sports & Exercise Science/Sport pedagogy in May of 2009. 

After graduation, I was out visiting friends in Denver and saw an opening for a PE teacher at Fort Logan Elementary in the Sheridan School District. I was hired and moved to Colorado at the end of July, 2002. I taught at Fort Logan Elementary for three years.

 

This is my fifth year teaching Physical Education in the Littleton Public School District at East Elementary. It’s exciting to be a part of this growing community and I thoroughly enjoy teaching. I look forward to being here for years to come and challenging the students at East Elementary to be the best they can be.

 

I believe it’s important to stay active and I do that by playing hockey, softball, golf, running, hiking, fishing, camping and mountain biking. I hope to do a triathlon in the near future.
